It's been a long time, it's been a long time
and maybe baby, you can rise above the rest to meet me yeah.
Haha... Er those are lyrics from Whoa Oh (Me Vs. Everyone) by Forever The Sickest Kids.
So yea... So much has been happening since Grad Night.
Wednesday we had act. Some damn tiring PT and then GTC briefing. On Thursday my Hillary team had a meeting to schedule our trainings and then come up with an equipment list so we can try to get sponsors. Friday...
Friday i cycled to school. So yea it was all well and stuff. We met in den to do NYAA stuff. Kenneth and I brought our laptops. And then Kenneth helped me install and patch Warcraft3 on my laptop (thanks!!) then we played. Haha. Went out for lunch at J8 Food Junction, then back to den to memorise Morse code and Semaphore. EISH TMO... haha. Or some ET whatever thing. lol. Then i had to cycle back. In the rain... Rain hurts when you go fast enough... But it was fun (: Until it got really cold and my muscles started to freeze up.... Haha
Saturday, 2 star kayaking. Quite fun. We spent the morning doing capsize drills and some waist thing. Afternoon was spent revising 1 star and learning 1 man TX rescue. And then how to rescue a swimmer. And Anurak got owned by the instructor (Stanley) cos he say if you paddle, you'll hit the guy behind you (the dude being rescued). So the instructor sat behind Anurak and then still got Hiok Yang hanging on in front. Damn funny, the kayak some imbalanced...
On Sunday, i did something. But i kinda forgot what... I think went out for breakfast then went to pick up my mum from the airport. Oh yea from Thursday to Sunday both my parents were overseas. But i didn't spend much time at home... So couldn't take full advantage of it. )):
Monday, had act again. This time was GTC prep. Had mega PT again and then briefing on survival and first aid.
Tuesday, had training with Hillary team. Running around school and then static stuff. Aching haha... Then we played cards. And err went out for lunch. Then i had to go down to Dhoby Ghaut for a meeting. RenHao's CIP thing. Haha i lazy to explain here.
Wednesday. Supposed to have area survey at Toa Payoh. It rained. Just like it has been doing nearly everyday. Damn... haha. Ended up going back to school and clearing the count.
And today. Woke up at 10 (finally!!!) and then went out for lunch with Edwin, Eric, Jerry, Max and Brandon. They were playing badminton before lunch. I was er sleeping. Haha. Then we went to play pool. Then Max and Edwin and I went to buy tickets for Paranormal Activity then walked around The Cathay while waiting for the movie to start. We went in first cos even though we were supposed to meet Hiok Yang, he was late. Haha. The movie not that scary. More of freaky. But pretty good i guess. Haha
And now i'm tired

Grad night.
No we don't give a shit what you say. So what if we're going from RI(S) to RI(JC)? Its still a change for us. Screw management and the upper echelons. It shall still be called GRAD NIGHT!! As shown from the many Facebook albums with "Grad night" as part of the title. What year 4 dinner shit... stupid name.
Those are my photos. There are countless others out there surely. Just take time to stalk facebook and ye shall be rewarded. Who said good things never last? Words cannot describe how fun it was. Haha. So pictures shall do the talking. They do last... And today we had 01 acts resuming. GTC briefing and some mega pain PT... 42 days only. Tiring. Haha.

Living with a dark cloud hanging over your head
is disgustingly intolerable. C'mon... Chinese O... faster come and go. Then we shall be free!! Free at last!!
While the sec1s-3s are busy enjoying the end of EOYs and most of the school year, we are still living in despair, awaiting our final hurdle.
While the SU is busy with GTC prep, we are in academic torture, going through mental difficulties even as they endure the physical strain.
I kinda envy them. They get to pump their arms until they pop out of their sockets. But we? We have to study and force chinese down our throats, into our brains, hoping that somehow, some way, it will gain us a high enough score for our O.
Haiz. 6 more days. National exam. Haiz.
Now on to happier stuff, like looking forward to GTC prep. (:
PT is fun ok. Relatively fun. Makes me not feel unfit anyway. Cos it feels like i'm doing something. Exercising. So takes away the guilt of eating so much. I have no idea why i'm eating so much... Recess+lunch+snacks+after school snacks.... Haha...
Then we have 2 star kayaking coming up. Not to mention all the fun stuff i can do with people once that dark cloud of a D7 doom passes.
Now i shall present a piece of handicraft:
GTC: Portrait of a Sec 1.
Thats the title man. Cool right? Haha. Erm for any sec1s reading this, don't feel too scared. When your manly ventures were sec1s, a long time ago, our seniors scared us to death with stories of GTC. Like how our feet would be one big blister, abraisions will line our thighs, you will sweat so much and the sun will be so hot that you will find salt crystals on your neck.
Well we went through it and came out alive. And what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And 01 scouts are quite strong cos we go through a damn lot of shit and somehow come out alive. Haha. Mental strength ftw! Yay!
Oh and btw the video in the last post is titled: The death of Blutack man.

Bored
R&R is boring...
Damn sian. Sit there either listen or screw around. The screw around parts are fun lah. But you see ah, we're just waiting to get out of this school... Quite sad leh. I mean we don't even have anything to do anymore. We're leaving RI(S)....
So sad.
So yea R&R is boring. And we still have another day of it. To kill the boredom, blutack man came about.
And yea this blogpost was only to show off blutack man.

Got back all our results and all i can say is...
Haiz...
I expected higher results. I expected more from myself. Haiz... Especially History. Everything seemed ok until history results came back. Then died...
Sad life.
Ahh whatever man. Screw this shit. On the bright side, i never have to take another SS or History or Physics test again!!!! :p
So yea now i'm feeling better.
Now let us look at fun stuff.
Today's lesson: Finding euphemisms and other sick stuff in Disney movies.
Remember those innocent movies you watched when you were 5-10? Those movies about talking cats, dancing bears, animals of all kinds singing? Yep, back then, when our young minds were not yet corrupted with worldly corruption of corruptivity by corrupted people, these movies were enjoyable. They were interesting, they taught us lessons, moral lessons, "Never judge a book by its cover", "Good always wins", "Love triumphs over all". Those were the reasons our parents let us watch these shows for countless hours at a time. But have you ever wondered what joy our parents dearest derived from such shows? I mean, they've been there, done that, learned that, seen that, know that. And all the unrealistic talking, dancing, singing, hip-hopping, ding-donging animals probably bore them to death. So why watch such shows with us when they could be off having fun doing something else.
So yea the truth of the matter. Disney has always proclaimed itself to create movies for the family. So they had to put in material to entertain the parents. Keep the family watching. How to reach out, through the age gap, to infinity and beyond? Use euphemisms duh. Adults will be able to appreciate the ingenuity movie scriptwriters. Amazing really.
Hmm must say this. Please don't sue me. THIS IS FOR FUN!! I WAS BORED!!
Any defamation, accusation and capitalization was unintended and the writer sincerely apologises for all parties who felt hurt, cheated, abused, amused, disgusted.
At about 3:41, listen to what she says. About "turning me on" and "play your horn". At 3:15 there is the cat offering the young cat the "horn" and asking him to "blow it boy, blow it".
Ohmygosh sickness overload... What have i done?!!
Anyway yea you get the idea. Go find some more if you want.
Due to this being totally unsubstantiated, i thereby declare this useless and thus no allegations can be held against the writer. For he had no idea what he was talking about, using false and insufficient evidence to support his point.
Here's another video. Go watch it and knock yourselves out. xD

Long time no see.
If i tried typing an entire post, will that help me improve my chinese?
Or just show the world my nubbie standard of proficiency in the language with which we have named Mandarin?
Probably the latter right?
Yea i agree too.
Haiz. The results i've gotten back so far are.... Saddening to say the least. I expected higher scores from myself. Anyway, its over. No use crying over spilled milk. Or juice. Or any liquidy stuff for that matter. Hmm... come to think of it, that includes tears.
So yea today was pretty normal i guess. NOT!! erm haha?
Ok that was lame.
The morning was pretty normal. Then in the afternoon, my dad decided to move stuff around after chopping my hair. So now the furniture is kinda in a different layout. For a few years, we have been using this sliding grille door and window thing. You know those things located next to the main door usually. And we locked up the main door and dumped stuff in front of it. Suddenly my dad decided to change it back. So now we all have to change keys again....
Then we went out to Toa Payoh. Went to check eyes and buy specs. My degree went up again... Anyway getting new specs on Wednesday. And then went to Bugis to shop for stuff. Bought some stuff.
Ate some dinner ramen thingy. Damn hot. Hot and sour really damn hot and damn sour.
Since EOYs ended... Dunno felt quite bored. I mean i really really don't know what to do for chinese. Probably going to do badly. I hope not. I'm trying to do something about it. Bleh....
This blog seems to be dying. I just don't feel very writer-ish. I mean not much to say already. Suddenly not much inspiration. So sad. ):
But never mind i shall try to never let this die. NEVER!!!
Yea ok whatever.
I think its time to review life. Life.
Spelt L-I-F-E, it is an acronym so obscure that many do not know its exact meaning. Laughably Indecipherable, Frequently Exasperating.
Now if we review it, it means we have to:
Scroll up and view it again. Go on. I dare you.
Well honestly if you did that...
I have ______ to say.
If you still don't get the joke, keep reviewing life. Maybe next time it won't be so hard on you. ;)

EOYs are over
For me anyway. For those with AEP/CEP/MEP/ECP/ERP/RIP/CIP/OIP/ETC.... Good luck ((: All the best for monday!!
Now that the EOYs are over... I feel this odd sense of emptiness. Feels like i've lost a purpose in life. Well whatever, thats only one purpose. I have many other purposes in life.
Really don't want to get back the papers. Horrors upon horrors shall be released and i shall be scarred for life. Haha.
Anyways i really hope i don't fail that badly. Hope. Hope. Hope.
Veni Vidi Vici
I came, I saw, I conquered
I came, I saw, I didn't finish doing the questions.
Recently, i realised i have been typing without needing to look at the keyboard for about 2 or 3 years already. This comes as quite a surprise. You know back when they were forever trying to train our typing and all? 'They' being parents and teachers. Never did learn from those computer programmes and whatever. Learned by rushing out homework at midnight, playing games, MSN, blogging(???).
Time to get into shape and stuff.
GTC coming up!
We met with Kumaran and Kexin today. To talk about GC, JC life, 01, etc. Well, i guess there is a lot to think about. I hope our batch manages to make a big impression on people. At least make a difference you know.
Ahhh so sad...
The beginning of the end.
Sec4 has been incredibly fun and memorable. 01, 4Q, Hillary, etc. I guess i did what i mostly set out to do at the start of the year. To take part in as many things as possible and get to know people. Would never have joined Hillary and DF if not for that resolution. Haha, look at my sec1 to 3 track record. Doing mostly the bare minimum. Except in 01.
This year made me see that putting my best into everything and taking part in many things are not necessarily energy draining. It's quite rejuvenating actually.

EOYs
Ahhh....
Day 1 was ok i guess. English was quite ok. SS was a killer. Like total pwned.
Both my essays were off point so yea if i fail, i would be quite surprised. i mean they would probably have to make a negative grade for me... I think. I'm not exactly sure if it was totally off point. Maybe just a different style? Which can be both good or bad... But it means i probably won't be getting my usual 65% for SS....
As for Chem.... As JonSee put it: "Cheat my feelings". Total scam. Mugged so hard for it then the paper like not much of a kick. Oh wells....
Mugged for Physics and Bio on friday and saturday and today. But somehow, i don't feel prepared. Especially for physics. Something about it just makes me not understand. Sometimes i get it for like 3 seconds... Then it slips out and i'm totally lost again. Haiz...
Interesting things that happened... Hmm... Somehow i forget them all...
Well there was Prometheum Day. Have i talked about this? Whatever...
01's symbol is a shield, 02's is a knife. Congrats to both CCALs. Hope that both scout groups can maintain harmonious relations. Well Kenneth and Tat Hsiang know each other well enough.
But honestly, ACCALs are so much cooler. Haha (:
Wonder how next year will be...
Yay tomorrow is school holiday!! But have to spend it mugging ):
Can't wait for act to start again. Miss the 01 dudes. DMP ended too fast...
Ohh and i have a laptop ((((:
Awesomest grandmother ever!!!
You know something? I realised how obedient most Singaporeans are. Like on the MRT (somehow i get my best inspirations on the MRT...), the "reserved seats" are avoided like the plague. Especially true on the Circle Line. On other lines, usually they're quite crowded so people do sit on those seats. But on the Circle Line... People would avoid that seat...
Ok lets have some logic here. I think there are 7 or 9 seats per row. I know its an odd number. Singaporeans don't like sitting next to strangers. Thus, typically, there is a seat left between people when possible. Now, the "reserved seats" are at the ends. If people avoid those seats, then only 3 seats are available for butt-plonking (assuming a 7-seat row). If however, we utilised those seats, seat potential can be maximised to 4 seats available for the restage of the buttocks.
And anyway, "reserved seats" only need be given up when there is: a) An injured person b) An old person c) A pregnant person d) A person with young kids
C'mon are you gonna hold on THAT tightly to your seats... At most it's a stand for what.... 4 stops? It's the Circle Line dammit... It only has 5 stops... And anyway it's so empty you could just shift your royal cushions to the side.
MRTs disallow durians... In my world, durians will disown MRTs. I dunno why... I just feel that its proper retribution. Discrimination should not be tolerated. Procrastination should be recognised by the world countries. It has the largest population anyway.
Oh man i feel so high. Hope i don't fail my EOYs. And i hope our new chapter lasts till the end of our books, our stories forever intertwined, inseparable.

It has been 10 days...
Ok well... i dunno...
Not gonna blog about the whole of last week. Interesting stuff was like analyzing some teachers' dreams, finishing up with Nietzsche, playing cards, carrom with all the seeds, etc.
Basically too much to name. Oh and Farrer Park tutoring also.
Haha the kids there are really really cute. And damn funny also. Hope they are improving.
Hmm and on friday. First and last period was chinese. (means only one period that day btw...)
Strange how my DMP started with Chinese and ended with Chinese. Must be a sign... xD
Went den to play carrom and cards for a while. Then later went home with Joel.
We walked to Marymount MRT, jumped over the sensor on the escalator, so it didn't speed up. Then sat down and took the long slow ride down. We were about 3/4 way there when someone stepped on to it and triggered the escalator...
Saturday was the first time in WEEKS that i got to sleep in. So i took full advantage of it. Slept till 9+. Or 10.
Then spent the day studying and stuff.
Sunday was pretty much boring.
Then today. Back to normal lessons. Careers forum was boring. BORING.
I got 29.5 for math CCT!!!!! After the past 3 sub-20 scores, finally!!!
And other shitty marks for history assignment and SS test.... Bleh....
And tomorrow getting back English marks i think. For portfolio.
My bio is currently 78%, Chem is 82%.
C'mon i can do it!!
Things have changed. For the better. And we start a new chapter...

And den...
First period was psychoanalysis with Freud. Followed by Nietzsche. Then Chinese.
Freud was fun. We went around the school psychoanalyzing stuff. Like the paintings and the architecture and all. It was... Uhh... Quite sick... Haha. Interesting nonetheless. (i don't think i have ever used the word "nonetheless"....)
Nietzsche was err... a bit boring. But still a mind work-out. What with Eternal Recurrence and Amor Fati and Will To Power... Superman!! Omg i can't stop laughing at that...
I'm skipping description for chinese... Same old same old...
Went to den. (:
Fun place. Played carrom. Then cards. We played on our makeshift carrom board table while ZhongJun and Alvin played carrom on the proper table. Haha.
Hmm quite fun. Then at one point, the lights suddenly went out. The fan stopped. And we were like. WOAH!!! POWER FAILURE!!! But the music was still playing, which means the power for the speakers was still working... Which meant... power failure FAIL!!! Haha.
Oh man i was laughing like mad... No one else was... They were like... This is creepy. lol...
And i'm reminded how the den has always been the best place in RI. I mean... Just look at the times spent there. All the random shouting and suanning and bad singing and screaming and playing and carroming and screwing around. So hmmm... Its gonna be damn far away when we're in RJ next year... )':

Rubber bands
A quiet Sunday afternoon. The Alpha male is in his room, sleeping. The eldest son, lying sprawled on the sofa, eyes closed, mind dreaming. The younger son, on his bed, texting his dearly beloved. The matriarch, in the back room, clearing up the laundry. And the eldest of the three siblings, is out with her friends at an exhibition.
Welcome to my life.
Ok i'm not sure if my brother was really sms-ing his girlfriend. Haha. Ok he doesn't have a girlfriend. He just has a very good girl friend. Heehee.
Yesterday was really fun. Team1 and 2 outing. Celebrate JonSee's birthday. We met at Harbourfront MRT. Sat there and played cards. Go fish... Haha. Then went off to eat lunch at Kopitiam.
And went up. Decided it was raining and Sentosa wouldn't be a nice place to go. So we went off to Kallang. Went to the ice-skating rink. We were there at about 3.50. They had a resurfacing scheduled at 4. So we played cards somewhere nearby until they were done. And we went in at 5pm. And wheehee we had fun inside. Going round and round and spinning and falling and stuff. Haha (:
Well spent Saturday. ((:
And the PINK octopus and RED FBTs were quite funny. Haha.
On Friday, after funk, it was raining so Alvin, Joel and i walked through RJC to Marymount MRT so we wouldn't get wet. And i jumped over the sensor on the escalator!! So i was on it and it was going really slowly... In the save-energy-mode slow... Haha. Really awesomely cool childish moment. ((:
Hmm... There was another time, i forget when exactly, when i had another childish moment. It was when i was on the Circle Line, then the train stopped just before it reached the Serangoon station. We could see the first few doors of the station but the train stopped. I think some "technical difficulties" And everyone had damn worried looks on their faces, and people were moving to the first carriage (where i was already sitting) and looking out the front windows to see what was happening. I sat there and smiled at the anxiety-filled faces of those oh-so-anxious Singaporeans. Learn to relax man... When God/fate/technical difficulties grant you a moment of suspended peace and you have nowhere you can go and nothing you can do about it, just relax...
Kinda gets you thinking about how Singaporeans have been conditioned to rush around so much like scurrying ants. Forever in a haste, forever working, forever fast. Somehow fast=efficient has embedded itself into the soft, naive and gullible young minds of Singaporean kids. Rush rush rush, must keep moving. How many of us can sit still. Totally still and clear our minds of all anxiety and problems?
Rubber bands are cool. Useful. They have a multitude of uses and are round and stretchy and wheeeee. Yes i have been degraded to using stupid words to describe stuff. Like something booms you know?
Ahh are we really sending that to Ms Universe finals?!! What are people going to think of Singapore... They already think we are part of China, or some island belonging to Malaysia. Do we really need them to see that our english is so... *words fail me here*...
And there is a Wikipedia article about her...
My brain rotted.
And yes rubber bands are still the most awesomest things in the world yea?

Like woah awesome (:
DMP has been fun. Going for class after class.
Nietzsche is turning out more interesting than i expected. Well seeing as half the time i was laughing with Amos... Haha
On Wednesday was the InterUG half marathon relay thing. We got second. Ahh.... The top 3 positions same as last year... Sianzzzz
Then today we had funk and stuff.
For dinner, we went out to celebrate my brother's 14th birthday... Which turned out to be a bigger event than my "sweet sixteen". Haha. Quite a lot of extended family eating in a nice restaurant/bar place. Quite nice lah. The food was good and it was filling!!
And i turned damn red. And got like semi drunk... Haha it was so fun. I shall post more tomorrow.
And one last thought for you to ponder on.
Why can't i wash my face like in the advertisements. *Splash, shake head* Then all the facial foam is off and my face is purged of all oil. Its a scam i tell you. When i try that, all i get is a soapy face and a wet floor...

Song
Mona Lisa Album: When The World Comes Down Artist: The All-American Rejects
Here's another pity There's another chance You tried to learn a lesson But you can't
If we could burn a city And the future's ending fast Without a change our lives will never last We're going fast
You can sit beside me when the world comes down If it doesn't matter than just turn around We don't need our bags And we can just leave town You can sit beside me when the world comes down
What can we do better? When will we know how? A man says from the sidewalk to the crowd
If you can change the weather If you wanted to yourself Well if you can't I guess we all need help Cause i need help
You can sit beside me when the world comes down If it doesn't matter than just turn around We don't need our bags And we can just leave town You can sit beside me when the world comes down
We say, We do, The lies, the truth And all i need is next to me
We're going fast
You can sit beside me when the world comes down If it doesn't matter than just turn around You be the queen, and i'll be your clown You can sit beside me when the world comes down You can sit beside me when the world comes down

D(ay1) MP
Today marked the first day of Term 4. For the sec 3s and 4s, it is better known as.... DMP!!!!
Da Mugging Period, Differentiated Modules Programme...
Same thing really.
Lessons today:
Chinese Psychology of Personality Psychoanalysis with Freud Blank.
First was err... Usual lah.
Second was quite funny. Cos like half of 4Q there and they were screwing around. And the teacher quite lol.
Stuff that was talked about.
Oral Anal Phallic Lantency Genital.
WhatTheFreud... Haha. All about sex. =P
Third was... Even more about Freud. He damn psycho sia...
And free period... Was spent err... half reading and half sleeping.
I took newspapers and a Time magazine. Sat there... Read a few pages, went to sleep, woke up and continued where i left off. Did that for like an hour.
Then... A sudden burst of energy and inspiration!! I went to mug math. For like... 2 questions. I swear my answers are correct and the Revision Exercise one is wrong... Someone help me check. Circular measure, the first question. So i felt kinda stupid.
I looked around. Then Sudden Realization. I mean look, i'm in RI, the dudes here are like awesomely smart. And when i look around, i see people doing work. Like non-stop pen moving. Then i look at myself. Staring at a question cos i dunno how to do and i can't even start.
Ah wells... Surrounded by the future of Singapore. The stress is incredible. But of course, me being me, i don't feel the pressure cos i am fussy and picky about what i feel. xD
Looking forward to the rest of DMP!! And its time to mug...
